1890
  George Rihm Sr. opens a meat market in Piqua, Ohio, and trains five sons to help him in the shop.
1926
  George J. Rihm Jr. published an advertisement in the April 1, 1926 Cambridge City Tribune announcing that "having purchased the Lee Meat market, I will endeavor to serve High Grade Meats and will appreciate all former and new patronage.  Service and Courtesy is my aim."  His business was at 19 West Main, the site of today's Rihm's Drive-In Liquors.
1945
  George J. Rihm died, leaving the store in the care of his wife, Helen Rihm. One of George's brothers came each night from his Knightstown meat market to do the major work for the next day because tow of the Rihms' three sons ere serving in World War II.
After World War II
  Walter Rihm returned from the service and began helping his mother, Helen Rihm, in the business in which he and his two brothers, Bill and Tom, were raised.
1948
  A locker plant was added to the rear of the market. The market could process, cure and freeze meats as well as sell wholesale and rent lockers.
1958
  The Rihms bought the New Lisbon Locker in order to have a full butchering line.
1965
  The family acquired the property west of the meat market and expanded, creating Rihm's Food Ranch. In the deal, Rihms acquired the liquor store, which they installed in the former meat market.
1973
  A modern meat processing plant, Rihm Meats, was built and opened on Hunnicutt Road.
1986
  Walter Rihm retires, leaving the business in the hands of his sons. Don oversees the grocery and Jerry and Jim oversee the meat plant and catering operation.
1999
  Rihm Foods prepares more than 20,000 meals of barbecue beef, smoked pork chops and chicken breasts while catering the Tom Raper RV Rally at the Wayne County 4-H Fairgrounds.
2001
  The 75 year old company marks its anniversary with Walter's sons at the helm. Many of their children work in the business, making for a fourth generation at work.
2004
  Rihm Foods meets the needs of a new generation of customers by creating a web site at http://www.rihmfoods.com.
